At the 2008 CVAA annual conference, a speaker had mentionned that a port should be disinfected twice every time we access it. And she gave the example of 2 non compatible medication, and in between flushing with saline equal 6 double disinfiction. Where can i find this information, or best practice?
Is it the same process for taking blood specimens?
